ÉPOQUE

Paris heritage real estate. Where rooms remember.

ÉPOQUE — Parisian heritage interior with chandelier and tall window
01The Brief

What needed to exist.

Parisian heritage real estate is sold in two registers: corporate luxury or museum-stiff. Neither addresses the actual buyer — someone choosing to live inside a hundred-year-old building because of what the building remembers. The brief was to position heritage residences as documents of light and time, not as financial products with stone facades.

02The Approach

How the system was built.

Strategy first: we don’t sell properties, we curate heritage. Wordmark built on the classical proportions of Sabon (Jan Tschichold) with explicit typographic markup — ascender, cap height, x-height, baseline — exposed as part of the visual system. Photography directed around a single brief: document the behavior of light over time. Digital ecosystem of three mobile screens, archival layouts, print specifications carried into screen.

03Identity

Wordmark, typography, color.

Wordmark

The wordmark is set in Sabon — Jan Tschichold’s 1967 design for harmonized print typography — with explicit baseline grid markings exposed below the wordmark. Typography becomes part of the signage, not hidden craft.

ÉPOQUE type system — Sabon paired with Neue Haas Unica

Typography

Sabon for body and editorial, Neue Haas Unica for navigation and metadata. Two voices: archival and contemporary, joined by a shared respect for the page.

Palette

Alabaster Paper#EFEAE0
Graphite Ink#1F1D1A
Deep Sage#3F4A3A

A palette named after materials, not colors. Alabaster paper, graphite ink, deep sage — values borrowed from architectural specification rather than brand mood boards.

05Outcome

What the system became.

An identity that reads more like an architectural office than a real estate firm. Heritage positioned as something documented, not marketed.
