Strategy first.
I don't move pixels until the position is sharp. The first artefact is always a written argument — what the brand stands for, what it refuses, who it is for. Visual work follows that, not the other way around.
[—01] ABOUT
Devoco is run by Margarita Demina. The studio takes a small number of projects per year — typically a brand identity and the digital product that lives inside it, built end to end.
The work begins in writing — what the brand stands for, what it refuses, who it is for — and ends in finished systems: visual identity, packaging, web and mobile product, art direction. There are no second teams and no parallel chaos.
The practice has its own register — editorial, deliberate, quiet. Restraint is the method; coherence is the deliverable.
[—02] HOW WE WORK
The studio works asynchronously. Briefs, decisions, and approvals happen in writing — not in calls. This is not a side note; it is the operating model.
Async work makes room for thinking. Drafts can be revisited, decisions can be reread, the brief stays a document instead of dissolving into a conversation. The result is a clearer position, faster delivery, and fewer interruptions on both sides.
Calls are reserved for the rare moment where written exchange isn't enough. They are the exception, not the format.
[—03] PRINCIPLES
— 01
I don't move pixels until the position is sharp. The first artefact is always a written argument — what the brand stands for, what it refuses, who it is for. Visual work follows that, not the other way around.
— 02
A logo is the smallest visible part of a system. I build the grid, the type scale, the tone, the motion language — so the brand can speak across surfaces I will never touch.
— 03
Studio of one means full presence. I take on a small number of projects per year, and each gets the entire attention of the studio. No second teams, no sub-contracted work, no parallel chaos.

[—05] PORTFOLIO NOTE
The portfolio is selective. Some active engagements are not published due to non-disclosure agreements. The work shown represents directions the studio is open to taking on, across categories where its position fits.
